Work Environment

Relevant Security Experience
Web application testing, penetration testing, OWASP, prior scripting/coding experience is a plus. This requires the ability to think holistically and identify areas of risk within an IT environment.
Familiarity with HIPAA, PCI-DSS, FFIEC, and NERC compliance a plus.
Background
4 Yr. technical degree preferred but not necessarily required for someone with a strong technical background. CISSP and/or SANS certifications would be beneficial. 1-3 years of security experience desired.

Relevant Security Experience:
Risk management, controls and penetration testing, vulnerability scanning, policy development, OS hardening, firewall (Cisco, Checkpoint) administration, event management, monitoring, IDSs, VPN, network design, wireless security, encryption and authentication methods.
Background:
4 Yr. degree required, but technical focus not necessary for someone with a strong technical background. CISSP and/or GIAC certifications would be beneficial. At least three years of enterprise technical experience is required. Experience implementing or testing NIST and/or ISO 27001 frameworks. Working understanding of industry security standards and guidelines, including HIPAA, GLBA/FFIEC, PCI, NERC, etc. Scripting experience a plus.

Extensive scripting or application development experience a plus. Code auditing experience desired. History of independent research projects a plus.
